Yealink T58V

The following review was conducted in July 2017.

The SIP-T58V is the newest high-end media phone from Yealink. The phone boasts the best video communication and screen we have yet seen for a desk phone. The T58V comes with a 7-inch 1024 x 600 touch screen and support for up to 16 VoIP accounts. The phone also has built-in Bluetooth 4.0+ for headsets and mobile devices. This device is ready, right out of the box, for serious business-grade voice and video calls.

Grandstream DP760 DECT repeater with DP750 DECT base station and DP720 DECT phones

The Grandstream DP760 is a powerful wideband DECT repeater that pairs with Grandstream’s DP750 DECT base station for extended mobility and range. The DP760 claims to add an additional range of 300 meters outdoors and 50 meters indoors to give users the freedom to move around work or home environments. VTech VSP600/601/608

The following review was conducted in February 2017.

VTech is a relative newcomer to the SIP business phone scene. They’ve had a long history of making wireless phones, so their release of a wireless DECT SIP phone seemed like a bit of a gimme.

We were lucky enough to be sent several VTech models, including the the VSP600 ErisTerminal® SIP DECT base station, as well as VSP601 cordless headsets and a VSP608 cordless deskset. The VSP608 is interesting, because it only needs a power connection to operate, and not an Ethernet connection. (Read More…)

Bria for Mac (Version 4.0)

Counterpath’s Bria for Mac is the macOS equivalent of the venerable softphone that’s known to Android, iPhone, Linux, and other operating systems. The current iteration for Mac supports HD voice and video calling, click to call, speakerphone, mute, transfer, 3-way calling, and up to 3,000 presence-based contacts. (Read More…)
